Direct ABA therapy is delivered 1:1 by a registered behavior technician and provides numerous opportunities to practice skills using a fun, child-centered approach.
Written by an assigned board-certified behavior analyst, the child’s treatment plan guides the skills that are practiced during a direct therapy session.
The group ABA therapy program provides an opportunity for children to practice learning in small groups with guidance from a skilled therapist.
Learning in small groups is an important foundation that helps us navigate different types of settings, like classrooms, airports, grocery stores, and restaurants.
Social skills therapy is a technique that is used to prioritize interactions between groups of peers by teaching children important skills including turn taking, negotiation, problem solving, and group interaction.
Some of the techniques we use in developing and maintaining friendships in small groups include play with Legos, board game activities, skits, team challenges, and more.
Throughout treatment, parents and caregivers will collaborate with a board-certified behavior analyst to go over immediate and long-term goals. Additionally, the BCBA will share assessment and progress data while providing individualized, hands-on training to the family.
To ensure maximal progress, a board-certified behavior analyst provides behavior consultations to assess the effectiveness of an individual’s treatment plan.
The plan is comprised of short- and long-term goals that are created by the child’s family and treatment team.
