The Indiana ACT for Families coalition recently welcomed Autism Society of Indiana, Indiana Special Needs Living and Circle City ABA as new members to their coalition.
INDIANAPOLIS, IN — The Indiana ACT for Families coalition recently added three new organizations as members of the coalition. These new members will help the coalition’s work to protect access to autism services for Hoosiers with autism and families who rely on ABA therapy. These new members represent some of the many different groups who would be impacted by a cut in Medicaid coverage of ABA therapy – families, providers large and small, and individuals with autism.
The coalition continues to band together with ABA therapy providers, therapists and other stakeholders across the Hoosier state to advocate directly to policymakers about the importance of ABA therapy during this crucial rulemaking and legislative session.
Autism Society of Indiana (ASI) said:
“The Autism Society of Indiana has a long history of advocating on behalf of every individual and every family affected by autism in the State of Indiana. We believe that individuals and families who rely on ABA therapy should continue to have access to these services, and we do not support the state cutting back on coverage for autism services like ABA therapy. We are excited to lend our voices to the coalition and leverage this partnership to support more Indiana families and continue our advocacy in support of Hoosiers with autism.”
