At Circle City ABA, we believe that every child should have access to high-quality ABA therapy. That’s why we offer ABA therapy via telehealth, a model that combines in-person therapy at our centers with expert guidance from a remote BCBA (Board Certified Behavior Analyst).
In this setup, your child still receives hands-on, one-on-one therapy in-center with an RBT (Registered Behavior Technician). The difference is that the supervising BCBA provides support virtually, using secure telehealth tools to guide, coach, and collaborate with the in-person team.
This model helps more families get the services they need without compromising the quality of care.
How Telehealth ABA Therapy Works at Circle City ABA
At Circle City ABA, our telehealth ABA therapy model includes several important layers of support:
In-Center Therapy with an RBT
Your child will continue to attend therapy at one of our centers. During each session, a trained RBT works directly with your child. They run programs, teach new skills, and support behavior goals, just like in traditional ABA therapy.
The main difference is that instead of being in the building, the BCBA observes and supports the session remotely.
Weekly Behavior Consultations
Even though the BCBA is remote, they are still actively involved in your child’s care. Through weekly behavior consultations, the BCBA:
- Coaches the RBT as they work with your child
- Monitors the therapy session in real-time
- Gives feedback and adjusts strategies as needed
- Helps problem-solve behaviors or learning challenges
- Probes new skills and updates the treatment plan as needed
Even though the BCBA is not physically in the room, they’re fully involved and provide real-time support, just like they would if they were in person.
Monthly Virtual Parent Training
Families also receive monthly virtual parent training sessions with the BCBA. This training will help you:
- Understand your child’s therapy goals
- Learn strategies to use at home
- Ask questions and receive guidance
If you need extra support, the BCBA can schedule additional virtual meetings to help you feel confident and informed.
Extra Support to Make Telehealth Work Smoothly
Telehealth RBT Support
To help the sessions run smoothly, an extra RBT is assigned to assist with telehealth ABA sessions. This Telehealth Support RBT:
- Manages the tablet or video connection
- Follows BCBA instructions to assist with skills or behavior
- Supports the main RBT so they can focus entirely on your child
This teamwork ensures your child gets focused, effective therapy every day.
In-Center Backup from Local BCBAs
Although the lead BCBA is remote, our centers still have in-person BCBAs on-site. These team members can step in if needed to support the RBT, help with safety concerns, or provide backup during sessions.
This gives families peace of mind and ensures continuous support for both your child and our staff.
Virtual Assessments and Treatment Planning
When it’s time for a new assessment or routine update, the remote BCBA can complete these sessions virtually with help from the in-person Telehealth Support RBT.
The BCBA:
- Give instructions through the tablet
- Observes how your child responds
- Collects the information needed to create a custom treatment plan
Note: Some insurance providers do not allow the initial assessment (97151) to be completed via telehealth. Please check with our admissions team to understand your coverage.
Why Use Telehealth ABA in the Center?
At Circle City ABA, we use telehealth ABA therapy to reach more families in areas where there may not be enough local BCBAs. By allowing our highly trained BCBAs to support clients remotely, we can:
- Reduce starting delays
- Provide consistent care in underserved areas
- Offer flexible, high-quality therapy to more children
Our remote BCBAs are licensed, experienced, and trained to deliver the same level of care as in-person providers. And because your child is still attending therapy at the center with a trained RBT, you can count on hands-on, high-quality support every day.
Circle City ABA’s Commitment to Quality, Even Through a Screen
We know how important it is for families to feel supported and informed. Our telehealth ABA therapy model combines the best of both worlds—in-person therapy for your child and expert support from a remote BCBA.
You still receive:
- Direct therapy at our center
- Regular updates from your BCBA
- Parent training and family support
- Consistent progress monitoring
