As a provider of Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) therapy specialized for children on the autism spectrum, Circle City ABA is committed to ensuring that our centers are safe places where children can make progress and thrive. When it comes to children with autism, safety is a paramount concern.
A Safe Place to Grow During ABA Therapy
Children require a nurturing and secure environment at home and in the center where they receive care and ABA therapy. We have highly trained staff who prioritize safety at all times. Please continue reading to learn about the importance of safety in our centers and how we promote it.
Risk Assessment
Circle City ABA takes a proactive approach to safety by conducting regular risk assessments of our centers. Our staff assesses safety risks and identifies areas that need improvement. We also work with our clients’ parents to create individualized plans that address safety concerns. Identifying potential safety risks early on can minimize the likelihood of accidents and injuries. In addition, we aim to maintain the behavior in the “Happy, Relaxed, and Engaged” state or to support the return to the “Happy, Relaxed, and Engaged” state through our behavior support responses.
One-on-One Attention
A highly trained Registered Behavior Technician conducts our therapy sessions one-on-one, with oversight from a Board Certified Behavior Analyst. This approach immediately addresses safety concerns without risking other children’s well-being. In addition, the staff is always present to supervise and monitor progress, ensuring safety is always at the forefront of all therapy sessions.
Safety Regulations
We follow strict safety regulations and guidelines to use in therapeutic settings to maintain client dignity while securing their safety. In addition, we ensure that all staff members receive ongoing Safety Support Training to maintain best practices. We also perform periodic safety checks to ensure our centers comply with safety standards.
Parent Involvement
We encourage and welcome collaboration with our clients’ parents and involve them in every step of the process. We sit with the parents, listen to their concerns and suggestions, and work together to create a safe, effective therapy program. By communicating openly about safety, we ensure that everyone involved in the child’s care understands its importance.
Emergency Preparedness
Despite our best efforts, accidents can happen, and we prepare ourselves for emergencies. We have a plan for emergencies ranging from severe weather to fire drills to convulsions. Our staff receives emergency training and participates in regular drills to stay prepared at all times. We also have a strict protocol in place in case of injury or illness while a child is under our care.
At the heart of Circle City ABA’s approach to autism therapy is the belief that safety must always come first. Therefore, our centers are designed with the safety and well-being of our clients in mind. By conducting risk assessments, providing one-on-one therapy sessions, adhering to regulated safety guidelines, fostering communication with parents, and preparedness for any possible emergency, we focus on creating the safest and most secure environment for our clients. Our priority is to provide compassionate, effective ABA therapy that results in progress, even in the most challenging circumstances. To learn more, contact us.
