Progress can look different for every child. It might mean communicating a need more clearly, completing part of a routine with less help, or trying something new. For the team at Circle City ABA, those moments are worth celebrating.
For Elena Vergara, Center Operations Director at our Omaha North ABA Therapy Center, watching children grow is one of the biggest reasons she looks forward to coming to work.
“The kids are my biggest motivation; seeing their growth and progress is incredibly rewarding. I’m also passionate about helping team members develop professionally and supporting them as they grow into confident, capable leaders,” Elena shared.
Her motivation reflects two important parts of a strong ABA center: supporting the children and families we serve and helping the people who work with them continue to grow.
Meet Elena Vergara, Center Operations Director at Omaha North
As Center Operations Director, Elena Vergara helps support the daily operations of Circle City ABA’s Omaha North center.
An ABA center relies on people in different roles working together. BCBAs oversee individualized treatment plans, Registered Behavior Technicians work directly with children, and operations leaders help keep the center organized and running smoothly.
Elena helps support that teamwork each day. Her role lets clinical team members focus on providing individualized ABA therapy while families receive a welcoming, organized experience.
For Elena, the children remain at the center of that work.
What Motivates Elena Vergara Each Day?
When asked what motivates her to come to work, Elena’s answer was simple: the kids.
“The kids are my biggest motivation,” she shared.
Every child’s ABA therapy journey is different. Some children may work on communicating their wants and needs. Others may practice social interactions, follow routines, build daily living skills, or gain greater independence.
Progress may happen gradually, but small steps can build meaningful skills over time. Seeing children work toward their individual goals makes Elena’s role especially rewarding.
Supporting the Omaha North ABA Team
Children are not Elena’s only source of motivation. She also enjoys helping team members grow professionally.
“I’m also passionate about helping team members develop professionally and supporting them as they grow into confident, capable leaders,” Elena said.
Professional growth can strengthen an entire center. As team members build their skills, take on new responsibilities, and gain confidence, they can continue providing thoughtful support to the children and families they serve.
Creating opportunities for employees to learn and grow also helps build a team where people can see a future for themselves.
Why Strong Teams Matter in ABA Therapy
ABA therapy requires collaboration. A child’s team may include BCBAs, Registered Behavior Technicians, operations leaders, parents, caregivers, and other professionals. Each person brings a different perspective to the process.
Clear communication helps everyone stay focused on the child’s individualized goals. Families can share what they notice at home, while therapists can provide updates about skills practiced during ABA therapy.
Operations leaders like Elena support the environment where that collaboration takes place. By helping the team succeed, they also help create a positive experience for the children and families who visit the center each day.
What Families Can Expect at Circle City ABA Omaha North
At Circle City ABA, we design ABA therapy around each child’s individual strengths, goals, and needs.
Our Omaha North team provides a supportive environment where children can practice meaningful skills through everyday activities and play. Depending on individual needs, therapy may focus on communication, social skills, daily living routines, independence, or other areas that can make a difference in daily life.
Families also play an active role in the process. We communicate with parents and caregivers about goals and progress while sharing practical strategies they can use outside of therapy.
Our goal is to work together so children have opportunities to practice meaningful skills across different parts of their lives.
